SBI Specialist Cadre Officer Selection Process

The selection process comprises shortlisting of candidates, followed by one or more rounds of personal/video interview and CTC negotiation. There is no written test mentioned in the notification.

  1. Shortlisting: A shortlisting committee constituted by the Bank decides the shortlisting parameters and the number of candidates to be called. Meeting the minimum qualification and experience does not give any right to be called for interview. The Bank's decision is final and no correspondence will be entertained. Shortlisting is provisional and without verification of original documents.
  2. Interview: The interview carries 100 marks. Qualifying marks will be decided by the Bank.
  3. CTC negotiation: The Bank may negotiate the CTC with shortlisted/provisionally qualified candidates either (a) at the time of the interview, individually, or (b) subsequent to the interview, on the same day after the interview process or on a later date. If negotiation is conducted separately, candidates are called in order of merit. A provisionally selected candidate who does not agree to the CTC offered is treated as having voluntarily exited the recruitment process, and the next candidate in merit may be considered.
  4. Merit list: Prepared in descending order of interview scores only. Candidates with the same cut-off marks are ranked by age in descending order.

The interview call letter or intimation will be sent by email or uploaded on the Bank's website. No hard copy will be sent. At the time of interview, original documents are verified, and candidates must provide details of any pending criminal cases. The Bank may also conduct independent verification, including police records.
